About Samara Designs Studio
With a background in metals, Samara brings a unique approach to her work, blending precision with a sense of playfulness to create stained glass pieces that feel both thoughtful and full of light. Her designs are inspired by nature, organic forms, and the way sunlight transforms color throughout the day.
Her work has reached a wider audience, including a feature at Ferny’s Retro Plant Shop at Magnolia Market at the Silos in Waco, Texas, created by Joanna Gaines’ sister, Mikey. This milestone continues to shape and inspire her growing studio.
Each piece is designed, cut, and assembled by hand in her home studio in Greenville, South Carolina, where she works closely with every stage of the process—from initial concept to final details. Her collections include suncatchers, floral stems, plant stakes, and sculptural glass decor, all created to bring warmth, color, and a sense of calm into everyday spaces.
Passionate about supporting independent artists and makers, Samara believes that handcrafted work plays an important role in creating meaningful, connected communities. Through her art, she hopes to bring small moments of joy, light, and beauty into the homes of others.
At Samara Designs Studio, every piece is personally handcrafted from start to finish—designed, fabricated, photographed, and packaged by Samara herself. This business is not only her work, but a reflection of her creativity, dedication, and love for the process.
Born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, I’ve been creating art for as long as I can remember. I started by exploring metals and dark room photography in high school which slowly grew into a lifelong passion for working with my hands and creating meaningful pieces for the home. Over the years, I’ve continued to study and explore different art forms through classes at local museums and workshops at the renowned John C. Campbell Folk School. Today, every piece at Samara Designs Studio is thoughtfully handmade in my home studio, inspired by nature, light, folk art, and the quiet beauty found in everyday life.
